Jeff Kent's walk off home run brought back so many great basebll memories from the past. It was fortunate that this time it was of a more personal one since it was one of our guys who did it this time.

I can still vividly remember Bill Mazeroski's walk off home run in the 1960 World Series against the Yankees. It is one of those memories that shall remain etched in my memory forever.
Once again, it was another second baseman who punctuated another great moment in baseball and this...

Nothing to do with who's gonna win -

Just a comment that yesterday was some of the most enthralling baseball I've seen in a long time. Flipping back and forth between FOX and FX, I got to watch two outstanding baseball games, both nail-biters. The fans in Boston still trying to believe in their team now in position to pull even with those damn Yankees. And the game in Houston - 2 total hits in 8 1/2 innings - absolutely amazing. And then a fantastic finish.

Now if I may, let me...

Not everyone knows this but the first 3/4 of the season Rexerexer was at the park everyday running the Ques-Tec system....well even when we were well below 500 well after the ASB...Rex said we were gonna get the wild card....I sorta hemmed and hawed and said we had a chance if everything broke right...but I didn't believe....

So as the season came to a close the Fox Camera guys we shared space with shared the prophecy according to Rexerexer...so if you always believed this thread...

Unfortunately my gut tells me we are gonna lose game 6....

I think both Rocket and Oswalt will pitch in game 7...

I think it will be a tie late...and Berkman, Beltran and Kent won't have any answers for the Cardinals pen...

And Biggio or Bagwell will send the Astros into their first WS ever!

If I were Scrap Iron, instead of starting Roger Clemens on 3 days rest in game 6, I would start Pete Munro. He had a respectable start in game 2 and deserves to start game 6. If Pete looks a bit shaky, I would pitch Clemens as my middle reliever. If Munro does well, we have a well rested Clemens for either game 7 - if needed, or game 1 in the WS. It would give Roy O an extra days rest as well.

I guess it all depends on what happens in game 5. What do you guys think?

Did anyone else besides me hope that Cardinals pitcher Tavares would try to take on Jeff Bagwell after nearly nailing him in the head?? Jeff would have snapped Tavares in two like a match stick!!!

It appears that Tavarez is trying to take the mantle from former Cardinals pitcher Joaquin Andujar as the nuttiest space cadet in Cardinals history!!
