We had to do away with the who's online box for now because of some childish, immature grown men who thought it was funny to make up obscene usernames so they'd show up in the list of people online.

I hate not being able to see who is online now....some folks are so immature....it seems like I'm talking to myself on here.

On trying to 'copy' and 'paste' a new topic just now, all I can do type in the title of the article, but can't even get the cursor to show up in the text box! What gives? I tried posting just the title, without anything in the text box, knowing that I could 'edit' the text later and 'paste' the article then -- but STILL no good! I can add to an existing thread, but posting a new topic, no can do.

I STILL cannot post a new topic at 1:30pm...

I've figured out the smiley issue - when you do a "quick reply", which is this nifty box down at the bottom of the thread (where I am now), there is no header bar with any of the smiley codes on it. So to put a smiley in from here, you have to know the codes - you can look at the "complete smilies list" beneath this quick reply box, but you still have to type in the code. To get the regular header bar, the one where you just click on the smiley you want, and have...

Well, I thank you for the kudos Pat, but ya'll make this place what it is. I should be thanking you.

As for the link to get back to the forum you were in, yeah, that was one of the first things I noticed after my initial shock of the switch.

That simply has to do with things not working quite the same concerning codes that make the board look like it does, and a bunch of that mumbo-jumbo. We'll have to just deal with it like it is or probably have to change the...

Sorry for the complaint then, Speedy. Sounds like a prudent thing due to certain jerk-offs.

One other thing, then, how come when I file a post I can't find a link to get back to the main Astros board? I either have to click the Back button a couple of times and refresh, or follow the link to the main list of Boards and then click back into the Astros forum. Seems non-user friendly.

I now have my first complaint about this new system. I can no longer tell who is logged in. This must be a recent change because it wasn't the case when last I checked this board on Friday, 1/4/08. Why is this?

My main problem is that Yucko doesn't want to work with my IE browser (or perhaps some of the security software that works with it). It works fine with Firefox though.

Since I wasn't fond of EZBoard, I'm willing to give this a fair chance.

I know some folks are having some problems, but there's no freaking way I can address them now. I can't even figure out the administrator tools yet.

And it's probably going to be a while until we get it figured out.

Personally, I don't like the change, and was NEVER in favor of switching to freaking Yuku. My first impression when they first came out with it a 1 1/2 - 2 years ago or so, was that it is NOT very user freindly OR moderator freindly. And now...
