With the bats hot right now, he should be able to pull off a win, especially if he can pitch today like he did in ST. Let's hope some of those lessons from Clemens are starting to pay off!

Looks like no run support again for Redding.
0-0 5th inning Astros-RedSox World Series I started out with nothing...and I still have most of it. |

Im not bein so quick to jump the gun.. but i think it was a mistake to name the 5th starter before ST. even though Redding would still be our pitcher because he had a good ST. I think somwhere around the AS break, Hernandez will be brought up. Then instead of having four good games then a bad one, or four good games that we go into confident then a 5th game where we are unsure.. then we will have good hopes for all 5. |

I don't know why you would say that, NS. Redding has proven he deserves the spot.
If he is struggling later on, then yes, give someoene else the shot. Right now, I would be more concerned with Fernandez. How come we choose from just two people to run for president and 50 for Miss America?

I do agree with Fernandez.. and Duckworth.
I looked on astros.com to see how many runs he gave up. He didnt do as bad as i made it seem. Plus it was his first start of the season. |

Redding seems to be living under a black rain cloud???!!
We couldn't get the run support from Sheets??! April 9, 2004 Bagwell hits a Grand Slam at Miller Park...you know, for Astrogirl!

Sheets has always pitched us tough; I don't know whether he was just getting the calls, or it was our 'hitters' helping him along, but bottom line he just makes us look inept and clueless. So much for our offense clicking for such a short time; glad it happened earlier and not later in the season.

Well, as far as I was concerned yesterday, this game was lost before it started for Redding, what with Jimy putzing with the lineup already. Gee, the lineup from the night before managed 13 runs - can't play those guys again, they might be tired after the 5th freaking game of the season!
I feel bad for Redding. |

Good point, Nat. I understand giving guys a day off, but not all on the same freaking day.
