I just knew Grandpa Caballo had scored us some runs with that last foul. |

If Cruz Jr is ever going to produce, now is the time.

I'd like to see another angle on that foul ball by Lee. Laz Diaz is terrible not to mention the fact that it looked like he was going to call it fair then
changed his mind. If any part pf the ball goes over bag it's a fair ball.

Jose Cruz Jr.
If he can deliver right now... I'll take back what I said the past two nights!

Please tell me that Cooper is pinch hitting for Cruz! Pretty please!

Jose Cruz Jr. flied out to center field.
Astros leave two runners on base. Diamondbacks win 8-7. Jose Cruz Jr. goes 0-5 today, after going 0-4 last night. Send him to the minors already...

Well, this is a loss that I'm blaming on Coop. He made a couple of bone-headed decisions and I am not happy.

That's losing a baseball game that you had won....
Thanks.... Cooper... Bork.... Cruz Jr...... |

PATHETIC!

This is a tough one to take. The full brunt of this debacle is on the shoulders of Cooper #1 and Borkowski #2 both for not doing what they are paid to do.
Make good baseball decisions and get people out.

Cruz is hitting somewhere around .060. It's time to cut him. Thats two straight starts and 0-9 out of them and some crappy field work at that.
Just typical Astros baseball. This is what seperates the good teams from the bad ones. We've handed so many close games like that away this year to teams like the Cubs, Cardinals, and now Diamondbacks. |

Jose Cruz Jr. is now hitting .063 with a slugging percentage of .094.

Hopefully the Cubs and Cards will lose tonight. Dammit. We should have won.

Heck, I think I could bat .063. It's time to bring up ANYBODY and send him down.

Cards won their game earlier today, if I'm not mistaken. Pirates lost. Cubbies play the Brew Crew later.

I've got this one squarely on Cooper's shoulders. Inexcusable to leave Borkowski out there to wither. He shouldn't be on the major league roster.
Face it this team has too many holes. 3 hits after the 3rd inning. This team has zero identity and a bad bullpen. What happened to manager's that
wanted to win games? Cooper is too busy experimenting. The season will be over before he wakes up.

Pretty sure Cheito is terrible. Classic example of Houston being a harbor for alot of AAAA players, not major leaguers. Tough loss, especially after being up
6-2 at one point.
"Berkman in the last two games: 9 for 10, 1 HR, 4 doubles, 6 runs, 5 RBIs. For good hitters, that's a week. For some players, that's two weeks.
For Ausmus, that's two months." - Bob Hulsey

This game was as frustrating as they come. The Astros had this game in hand, and should have won it. We need a "scream thread" or something after a
game like this. Last year, in mid-May, I think, the Astros season went into a ditch that ruined the team's chances. One thing I remember from that period
is that Borkowski was used in some close game situations (partly because Lidge was injured) and was just terrible. Deja Vu. I have stated many times: Borkowski
is only usable for mop up duty or long relief when the starter gets blown out in the 2d or 3d inning. By the way, did anyone notice the difference in the
quality of the D-Backs' bullpen and the Astros' bullpen?
Edit note: Since the topic is baseball, maybe I should have said "Deja Vu All Over Again" in honor of Baseball Scholar Yogi Berra.

The thing with Snooze Jr and his bingo number batting avereage , is there isn't anyone in our minor league system that jumps out at you and makes you say
"just bring so and so up" . Thats one of the many down sides to our sh!tty farm system . This guy is making OP look good .
