Like I said on to the top of the 9th. Sometimes I feel like this team just quits hitting or even taking good AB's at certain points during a game. I just
don't understand it. Up to Valverde to make this one count, we've basically gone through anyone worth a damn in our pen.

Skip Bayless homers to left-center. Tal puts a stop-payment on Valverde's next weekly paycheck.

Funny, I would have thought Nady would hit the homer. Now, get set for a 15-inning death march before Adam LaRoche kills us off.
Check that. Nady and LaRoche want to get back to the hotel early tonight.

Ausmus calls time-out to put a bullet-proof vest on Valverde. 5-3 Pirates.
Tal calls immigration to see if he can get Valverde's Green card revoked. "Yes, I am here in Cooperstown....This place, my field, my dream." -Gene Elston July 30th, 2006 - Ford C. Frick Award Acceptance Speech, Cooperstown, NY

LMFAO!!!
You can't help but laugh. Nice job with this Frankenstein team, Mr. Wade. If your'e going to slap a team together, you better have at least the budget of the Cubs. Berkman, Lee, etc., couldn't do shit when it counted in this game. Came back to bite them in the ass. Oh, well. Another loss. When is the Longhorns first game, anyways? |

They have been getting destroyed by the Pirates all year. The freaking Pirates!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Trade everyone...nobody on this team is untouchable IMO. Valverde gave up 4 runs while getting one batter. LMFAOOOOOOOOOOOO! Please whatever anyone does on this board, don't mention the word wild card! WE DONT
HAVE A CHANCE!

Cooper decides to leave Valverde in to see if he can get his ERA inflated above .10.00
FYI...Astros closer has a 4.75 ERA. Therefore bringing Valverde in to pitch is not because he is the "closer". It is an act of desperation by the coaching staff because they have no one else in the bullpen with a pulse who can get big league hitters out. It wouldn't piss me off so much if they were rebuilding.
The ownership/front office have NO VISION for the future. None. Zippo. How in the hell do they think this team can compete at all in the next few years. They have no young talent. All the meanwhile, everyone else in the division continue to stockpile. Even the Pirates have McLouth and Doutmit for crying out loud. And don't get me started on the Cubs (who will further expand their payroll) and Brewers with their young talent. Those 2 teams will bury the Stros' for years to come. And what's the name of that Reds pitcher??? Drayton needs to get a friggin' clue. Burried. Cellar. Period. Horrid management of this ballclub. Have I said enough? |
