I think it is unlikely that Wilson's option is picked up. (I don't know that I agree that it is impossible that Wilson's option would be picked up...but I think it would require performance similar to his big year in Colorado...which is very unlikely.) But I also think it is very unlikely that a team will project into the starter role next year a 29 year old minor leaguer who has yet to prove himself at the ML level. The team might sign a FA outfielder, make a trade, or decide to go with Willy T, Lane and Burke. Maybe Scott may end up competing with OP for the reserve outfielder spot. If by some chance Scott comes up to the MLs this year and thrives, then maybe that changes.
