mike,
You are living in the past. You cannot blame Bush's failures on Clinton.

In fact, when Bush first took office, the administration made it very clear that they thought there were no WMD in Iraq. It wasn't until 9/11 gave the Cheney/Rumsfeld/Perle cabal a pretext to invade Iraq that they suddenly start talking about "stockpiles of WMD" and a secret "nuclear program".

Cheney has always had far too much influence on the President, and it was probably a trivial matter for him to convince Bush, who had no foreign policy experience, that toppling Saddam was in this country's best interests.

It was all a pack of lies and the majority of Americans, including yourself, fell for it hook, line and sinker. But there is no shame in being conned, only in denying the con when it becomes apparent for the entire world to see.

So you keep running out your Clinton-era quotes to justify Bush's blunder. No one's buying it anymore.
