It was Austin and it happened all the time. We sold 250k homes to kids who purchased together, some married some not. Lots of them with total household income of over 130k and 24-26 years of age. Some right out of school some that got bought after 2 years of experience. I had access to their demographic work sheet that we required with every completed contract. I used this for analysis to determine who the customer was and what their demands for their housing features looked like.

One of my biggest concerns is that as a society we have raised a generation that has never seen a real economic downturn. One like Texas had in the mid 80s. That was one hell of a mess. The ramifications of another event like that could get real messy.
