Mike,
I understand your desire to defend your kids, but you need to address the issues rationally instead of emotionally. If you spent more time objectively addressing the facts instead of attacking the messengers who disagree with you, you would see that we are on the same side when it comes to this country's security.

Understand that I have a real problem not with our soldiers, but with the policymakers who are placing our kids ('our' as in all Americans) in harm's way in Iraq for no good reason.

What we have is a bunch of chickenhawks (Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld, Wolfowitz, etc) who have never fought in a war, except maybe in video games, and have overestimated our country's ability to project force across the world.

We cannot force democracy onto a people at gunpoint, and we cannot kill enough Iraqis to make Iraq safe for Iraqis.

I really, really hope Bush is losing his political resolve for this war and pulls out after the elections. If we stay in Iraq through 2008, we'll end up killing a half-million Iraqis.
