While Soriano would be a talented addition, I still believe this team's problem isn't talent. If he comes aboard and plays left field, is Wilson benched? Traded? I know that would be an upgrade in terms of homeruns, but is his batting average, hustle, and attitude better than Wilson's?

The biggest reason we won in 2004 and 2005 is that every player contributed. There was chemistry and determination and it wasn't just one or two players carrying the team. The pitching was solid, the hitting was clutch. Beltran hit what, .255 in the regular season? If he did the same thing this year, the way the Astros are playing, people would call for him to be traded. But everything seemed better in 2004 and 2005 because we had great chemistry.

That's what needs to return. Soriano's great, but without that winning chemistry, I don't see any improvement this season.
