Regarding Rose and McGraw:

Think about this -- the Supreme Court once ruled that blacks/slaves weren't really people and deserved no rights. (I am doing this without looking it up -- I think it was the Dred Scott decision?)

So withholding rights from black people was not illegal then. Does that mean they were right back then? Do we honor this decision now? If we do, then we shouldn't be taking down the Confederate flags and firing people for using the "n word."

If betting on games by a manager is patently wrong, shouldn't we take down McGraw's "flag" (at Cooperstown)?

Won't happen because he managed in New York. Rose managed in Cincinnati.
