I agree with your sentiment but simply disagree with the application to the baseball HOF. I firmly believe that HOF voters should include character concerns and sportsmanship/cheating concerns in their deliberations, but I don't think anyone should be barred from the ballot unless they are on baseball's banned list. You cannot ban someone unless they broke a rule that explicitly says they should go on the banned list. I would agree that a convicted killer shouldn't be voted in, but their name shouldn't be stricken from the ballot.

Again, the steroids and HGH situations are so sticky that you really can't do much besides leave it up to each individual voter.
