I'm just not sure. Some factors I'd like to have more information about:

1) A better prognosis on Berkman and Ensberg. I'm especially cautious given Berkman's injury... one doesn't want to make a deal of this significance, only to have Berkman go down and with him much of your hope for post-season... which, after all, the prospect of a follow-up post-season appearance is the main reason you make the deal, imo.

2) Is Tejada a leader? This team by the admission of Garner and others is arguably most missing guys who bring both big bats AND leadership. Obviously, leadership is a subjective thing depending on who's talking about Tejada, so that makes it a very difficult call.

3) I wait until the deadline regardless. If the team is more than 6.5 games out on Sunday, I don't bother... if it is 6.5 or less, I look at my data on #1 and #2, and make a decision.
