I hardly think this team will give us the longest April in Astros history. Just two years ago we went 15-30 to start the season and Lidge was "Lights Out Lidge" at that time. I like Lidge, I think he is a great guy and I think he plays hard and plays the game the right way. I also never understood the mentality of booing a player in his home park. How is that supposed to make him better? But that is my own problem. Anyways, he looked good last night right up to that homer. He struck out the first batter looking on a good fastball. He then sawed off the next guys bat. His pitch to Nady was a ball inside. Fact of the matter is Nady was sitting on it and it didn't matter who threw it. Wheeler, Qualls Oswalt or Nieve would have given up the same thing if they threw him an inside fastball at that time. Give Lidge a chance to redeem himself before you call for his trade. Damaged though you might think him to be... he still has serious potential and some great stuff. He throws a slider down and away right there and he has a perfect save op and everyone here is declaring him back. If he comes out tonight and shuts them down in the ninth do we de the same?
