Doesn't that kind of that kind of remind you of Major League 2 (even though it sucked) where Rick Vaughn goes all crazy with his pitches like the eliminator and such. He sucks and then gets good again when he just gives it up and goes back to what he does best.

I guess some pitchers (Clemens, Oswalt, Ryan) have the ability to change up their pitches throughout their careers to be more effective and less predictable. Others don't fare so well and should just stick to what they got. Lidge is a one inning pitcher who, when he's on, is unhittable. He doesn't need more stuff.
