I don't think we should trade Lidge right now. He's doing well in the set up role, which means if we keep using Wheeler as closer or add another dominant reliever, we'll have a stacked pen.

Another free agent bat wouldn't be too bad. If Drayton wanted to pay for A-Rod, I wouldn't complain. He could go to shortstop and we could forget about the Black Hole forever.:lol

I think it was on one of the Chronicle's blogs where people were talking about Everett's value. They talked about how great he was in the field and then some person brought up a really great point, saying that if there were a draft of all the MLB shortstops, Everett would be taken near the bottom. As much as I admire his glovework, I would settle for a better hitter and average fielder. But that's just me.

If A-Rod were available and interested in playing for the Astros I'd be shocked. I'd just assume see him stay with the Yankees than go to Chicago, St. Louis, LA, or Atlanta.
