Everett is off to a particular bad offensive start this year, but even with his struggles he usually finishes in the middle of the pack on win shares. So, no, he would not go at the bottom of most drafts.

I think there is way too much going into this as well. Is the rest of the team in place already? A team with a flyball pitching staff might want a more offensive minded shortstop. A team with a groundball staff obviously wouldn't. Meanwhile, if you have an offense already stacked with six or seven good hitters you can afford a vacuum cleaner at short that can't slug William Perry's playing weight.
