Neither of the two hits Lidge allowed were well struck. The single by Bourn was particularly weak, but it went through for a base hit followed by the lazy bloop single to left.

Lidge regained his composure and went right after the next hitter. He threw first pitch strikes to the next three batters and K'd all three. His slider had some nasty bite to it and he was able to command his pitches.

At least it's a step in the right direction....
