NOT jumping onboard the "it's all Biggio's fault" wagon, BUT there is one thing that the Astros could do to make themselves look more professional -- at least on this one kind of play.

And that's on the play of an outfielder making a throw to the cutoff man -- like when Burke fielded the ball perfectly off the wall last night and turned to hit the cutoff man with a perfect throw which held the hitter to a long single. There's nothing wrong with the outfielder's play, but I'm having a problem with Biggio being the one on the receiving end of their throw back in. Bidge couldn't get the ball home to nail the runner, and could barely make it to the mound; runner scores and I believe the lead runner moved up another base.

Biggio CAN'T GET A DECENT THROW INTO THE PLATE FROM SHALLOW CENTERFIELD! If anybody needs to be the designated cutoff guy, it needs to be Adam Everett! AE is at least able to make a hard throw all the way to the plate to gun down a runner. If Biggio is the one to make the throw home or to 3b, it's a clear signal for runners to take the extra base! Let Everett be the one go into the outfield to get the relay -- NOT Bidge!

I know it's only a minor point of the game, but when the hitting takes a minor nosedive and pitching suffers, even the smallest detail needs to be corrected, IMO.
