I find the PyPro to be almost mystical. I was a coach on my 2 sons' TeeBall on through Pony League teamsfor about 10 years. I liked doing the stats - duh. Anyway, the PyPro was consistent with our record within a game either way by the end of the season. It didn't matter if there was a five run rule, T-Ball, coach pitch, machine pitch or regulation.

In the context of the major league season, I had attempted one time to use it as a match-up tool. Basically, you determined the current WP for each team based on run totals to date. You then modified it by looking at the PyPro for each team over the previous 10 games. It was calculation intensive, but it seemed to predict which team would win the upcoming series pretty well.

Like I said, you can see us progress from playing like the '62 Mets to the '75 Astros to a .500 club and hopefully beyond.
