Ahead not in the sense that they would have been ahead in the game, but ahead of what the actual result was. You are also forgetting that we couldn't have known Ausmus would execute the bunt when the decision was made. The Cards could have pitched out or he could have missed making the play a net loss over a GIDP where a run actually scores.

My point is that I didn't agree with the decision because when you play for one run that is usually all you get. When you have two runners on with no outs you are in prime position to score multiple runs.

That being said, I realize the DP was a once in a lifetime result given the execution. I also realize that one play did not cost the Astros the game.
