Actually, in my experience and memory (starting with Craig Reynolds), it just shows you how bad Astros shortstops have been period. Other than one year of Thon, have we ever had a good all around shortstop? Reynolds: mediocre offense, above average glove was the best I remember. After him was a parade of mediocre hitting (for a shortstop, still bad hitters for the league as a whole), below average glove guys. Anyone remember Rafael Ramirez? AE's hitting drives me crazy, but at least he handles the defensive side better than anyone.
