I would point out that Lane is no longer a positive at this point as he is hitting a robust .154, but the ideas are sound. Basically, I see the following as positives:

1. Starting pitching has been good throughout. Six out of seven quality starts is still quite good.

2. Some players are hitting. I like Burke's extra base power (even with a low average) and I like Lee's efficiency in RBI situations. Otherwise, it appears to be business as usual.

Negatives

1. The offense has been sluggish overall
2. The bullpen as a whole has struggled.

We have learned over the years that you will win over the long-term if your starters continually give you quality starts. If this rotation continues to be proficient we will win baseball games. The thing with the bullpen is that every team has turnover in the pen and every team has middle relievers that surprise and disappoint. It will take Garner awhile to figure out who he can trust and who he can't. Moving away from Lidge was a good first move.
I'm down with OBP (yeah you know me).
