I hadn't heard about Black, but that might be the move of the off-season so far. This team has to get into a position where it doesn't HAVE to do something and before that signing they HAD to address tackle in the draft.

If Clark can be an upgrade over Orr then we will have a pretty good LB core. Again, this puts us in position to try to get impact players in the draft. In particular, I'm liking the idea more and more of getting Landry in the first round.

I like the direction they are going in generally. You may not like the individual players, but they are building through defense and a strong running game. That's what wins in the NFL. With the exception of the first few games, the defense kept us in games. With a few better pieces (Clark and Landy and maybe a pass rushing DE) the defense might be ready to make things happen.

As far as Green is concerned, he didn't get as much as Henry or Jones, so I'm okay with the move. He will probably give us only a couple of good years, but that's long enough to hold down the fort while we meet other needs.
I'm down with OBP (yeah you know me).
