Ryan,

That is precisely why I say go safety in round one. Go ahead and get an impact safety to support DRob and Faggins and then pick up a solid DL in the third or fourth round. That leaves the second round to pick the best of what remains in areas of need OL/WR.

The fact that Travis Johnson has been a bust is what concerns me. The safeties picked in the top ten are usually home runs (Roy Williams comes to mind) whereas the DL are hit or miss. Going QB in round one is a real crap shoot. Let's pick someone we know will be a good starter. This team will only get better with more Democo Ryans and not combine freaks that don't perform on the field.
I'm down with OBP (yeah you know me).
