rexer, Domanick Williams ( formerly known as Davis ), is going to either retire or the Houston Texans will release him. Many people believe he has no future in the NFL at this point. His knee is just a mess ( multiple surgeries and always swells up to the point of him not being able to properly rehab with any success ), and it's very unlikely he will play another down in the NFL.

The Texans are trying to re-sign Ron Dayne to be the primary backup to Ahman Green. Meaning either Wali Lundy or Chris Taylor will compete for the 3rd string role. I don't expect Samkon Gado or Domanick Williams to be back.

Offensive line is a need for the Houston Texans, as it's been every off-season since our expansion season in 2002, but it's not as major a need as people are making it out to be.

The Houston Texans already signed Jordan Black, a 16-game starter for the Kansas City Chiefs at Left Tackle last season. There is also hope Charles Spencer can return from his broken leg injury and help out. We already have two good offensive lineman in Left Guard Chester Pitts and Right Tackle Eric Winston, who might make the move inside to Right Guard if both Jordan Black and Charles Spencer become our starting tackles. Either way, I expect Ehphraim Salaam to be a swing tackle and backup either tackle position.

The point being, the Houston Texans have never drafted an offensive lineman in the 1st round before, and we actually have our best offensive line in team history right now. That pretty much means the Texans will not draft an offensive lineman with their 1st round pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. We might draft some offensive lineman later in the draft, ( rounds 2-7 ). I'm guessing we will draft no more than one or two offensive lineman in total during this draft. Simply for depth purposes.

Most of the Texans picks in this draft will likely be on defense, mixed in with drafting a quarterback and Wide Receiver.

I honestly don't consider the offensive line a big need with the addition of Jordan Black, and if Charles Spencer comes back healthy with Eric Winston, Chester Pitts, Ephraim Salaam, Mike Flanagan, Drew Hodgdon, and Fred Weary. We have enough horses up front who can get the job done. Health will be the key for us.

Texans will only need to add 1 or 2 more offensive lineman for depth purposes at this point. Otherwise our offensive line is already set for 2007.

Texans biggest needs right now is addressing the QB situation once and for all. Is David Carr the man or will they trade him ? Then comes Wide Receiver, we need another speedy Wide Receiver who can be a legitimate number 2 WR.

And the rest of our needs come on defense, we need a Defensive Tackle, a pass-rushing Defensive End to compliment Mario Williams on the other side, and we could use two safeties and a cornerback.

You have to look at the problems that we still need to address. I feel we already addressed offensive line ( Jordan Black and hoping Charles Spencer returns ), running back ( Ahman Green ), and even Outside Linebacker ( Danny Clark ) in free agency.

We need to solve the QB situation once and for all, we need a number 2 WR, we need 2 more defensive lineman ( DT and DE ), we need 2 Safeties and a Cornerback. Bottom line.

Trust me though, the Houston Texans will draft one or two more offensive lineman ( rounds 2-7 ), but it won't be in the 1st round, and it will be more for depth purposes. I doubt we're going to draft a rookie starter for the offensive line, like we did with Charles Spencer and Eric Winston in last year's draft. The Houston Texans are done starting rookie offensive lineman in my honest opinion, and let's all be thankful for that.
