Even though the Horns blew a 22-point lead, they were still in position to win the game with less than a minute to go. It was then that they blew it, IMO. They had a 2-point lead and the ball, and IIRC, could have taken the game clock down to less than 10 seconds. They've got 3 players who shoot over 80% from the FT line (Augustin, Durant, & Abrams, and Abrams is over 90%), and at the beginning of that possession, it was clear Kansas wanted no part of fouling any of them, as they were handling the ball. But with about 20 - 25 seconds left, one of them passed the ball to another Longhorn player (Winder) and the Kansas' players were all over him, like flies on sh*^, fouling him and sending him to the FT line, where he predictably made 1 of 2, leaving the Horns with a precarious 3-point lead. Kansas came down and took a fairly quick 3-point shot and nailed it, tying the game, resulting in OT. The rest is history.

That was either poor coaching or just plain, poor execution. IMO, there was no reason to pass the ball to anyone other than 1 of the 3 80% + FT shooters. Those 3 players are their main scorers, can all handle the ball, and on top of that, UT had timeouts left, if they got into any trouble. I guess you can expect mistakes like that on occasion, when you're talking about a team that has 4 freshmen and 1 sophomore in its starting lineup.

Blowing a 22-point lead is not what lost the game, as that lead was early in the 1st half and Kansas is a great team, that plays good defense, with a lot of weapons on offense. That pass to Winder lost the game, IMO.
