What is the NIT, 48 teams? It isn't 64 too, is it?

65 teams in the Dance and 48 in the NIT, that's 113 teams. I think the Coogs are good enough to be one of the top 113. So yeah, I would EXPECT them to make that tourney.

The Coogs weren't going to beat Memphis, especially when the Tigers put the clamps on McKiver. He averaged something like 30 points a game against Memphis in the 1st 2 meetings, and they just made him a non-factor in this one.

The Coogs were pretty inconsisant most of the year. They had a bad stretch where they lost 7 of 8. Losing games to teams like VCU, Rice, UTEP, St. Louis, and I guess it doesn't matter if it's football or basketball, they have a tough time with Southern Miss and Central Florida.

They have the potential to make a good run in the NIT, but they're going to have to play a lot of good games in a row, and that's just something they haven't done a whole lot of this year. Plus they're 0-4 this season against teams from the bigger conferences (Pac 10-Arizona, Big 12-Nebraska, SEC-Kentucky and I'll include UNLV in the MWC).
