I took an American Literature course at Bama with a professor who more than thirty years earlier had taught Joe Willie Namath. He said that Namath seldom showed up to class but that he came for the final. My professor said that he watched Namath writing continuously during the exam and wondered how he was able to answer the essay questions after missing so much class.

Later, when he graded the essays, he discovered that Namath had not answered the question. Instead, he'd compiled an astronomical list (up and down, front and back of the page) of the girls he'd been with at Bama. To say that Joe Namath was a ladies man is an understatement.
