What I'm wondering is if they could bring him in to be a one or two year stopgap while they continue to beef of the the OL and running game

It didn't work for the Lions or Browns and I find it hard to believe it would work for us. And if we take that attitude are we trying to compete or what?

And if we beat the Browns I still have the same stance on Carr I have all season. It means nothing as far as he's concerned. Win or loss it's hard to tell anything about Carr.

He had the 33 yard pass against the Colts to put us in field goal range yet threw for less than 200 yards again and threw a pick with no TDs. That tells me squat about him, IMO.

There's only a few situations I can think of that we should get rid of Carr.

A) If we think a FA gives us a better chance to compete

B) A rookie is available that would be better than Carr immediately

C) It free's up cap room to make some major moves if free agency. Fat chance...free agents don't come here and we're probably talking a few moves at that.

D) Kubiak want a fresh start at the position no matter if it's an improvement or not. To me that seems counter productive if A,B, or C aren't possible but there is something to be said about fresh starts.

Either way this is one puzzling situation.
