It actually makes a lot of sense. I was wondering the same thing about the second play. It seemed indicative of what they did in the Titans game as well. Here is my plea:

Let's bring in a legitimate veteran QB and have an open competition. Let's see if he and Carr have the same problems behind our line. Let's see if both of them have the same problems making decisions after the first target is covered. Let's see if the club can consistently make the offense move under either QB.

Like I said, what you've said Speedy makes perfect sense. However, what others are saying also makes sense. We don't have to dump Carr. We don't have to neglect the other holes on the team. I just don't think Rosenfels is the answer to that particular question. I'm wondering why he was signed in the first place, but that's neither here nor there. You can still bring in a veteran lineman and/or defensive back. You can still focus on RB and OL in the draft if need be. This isn't a QB or improve the team decision. For me, it isn't even a Carr or veteran question. I just want a legitimate competition at the position.
