Hyatt is a great choice...near Main St etc.......there are some neat bars around the Rice Hotel (now an apartment complex).....State Street Bar, good Irish Pub....it will not compare to Wrigley, but there are some good places nearby....we went to see "Rat Pack" 2 weeks ago and ate at Birraporetti's restaurant at 500 Louisiana...sat at the bar...HD TVs and outstanding food...very close to the Hyatt.....also St Pete's Dancing Marlin on Main St.....Flying Saucer Draught Emporium at 705 Main with 200 beers on tap......and Home Plate behind, duh, home plate, but I hate it.....good eateries are on W. Gray (short cab ride) or Washington Ave (El Tiempo Cantina...best Tex-Mex in the city)......Irma's (Mexican food) is near MMP on Texas Ave, but I think it sucks.....great jazz bar in the Rice Hotel, Sambucca's, is pricey.....the atmosphere is "trendy"......you'll like the Terrace seats...best combo of price & view in the park....that's where I had my season tix on the front row until last year....
