Spud, HD is nice but it's overrated. I don't need to be able to count the zits on some rookie's face to be able to enjoy a baseball game. And the wider camera angles don't really bring that much additional information to the viewer because the cameraman still frames the picture so all the relevant parts are inside the old NTSB 4x3 frame.

Yes, it's a nicer picture but, IMO, it's not $1,000 nicer.

And you're wrong if you think all NFL games are in HD. Just ask Texans fans who usually get the lowest game on the CBS totem pole.

MLB has 2,430 regular season games each year split among over 40 television networks. The NFL has 256 regular season games split among 4 television networks. Hardly an insignificant difference.
