Flastros, I'm very discouraged after a game like this.

The Astros had this game well in hand throughout this game. and the Cubs simply took it away during the late innings like the defending NL Central champions.

I blame the Astros' inability not to put this game away early and often.

Two runners on base with no outs in the first inning and they only came away with one run...

Two runners on base with no outs in the second inning and they only came away with one run...

A couple of 1-6-3 double plays ruined the Astros during both of those innings.

Then the wheels fell apart after that with minor injuries to Lance Berkman and Ty Wigginton, and of course it doesn't help that Roy Oswalt is still trying to find the feel for his breaking pitches.

We need the Roy Oswalt of old ( Cy Young worthy Oswalt ), otherwise it will be a long year regardless of whatever else happens.

At 2-4 ( likely 2-5 after facing Carlos Zambrano tomorrow ), I'm now officially depressed again.

It's a long season though -- too long -- and I'll be hoping for the best...
