These days, Spudder, that would have been a hate crime.

I won seats for three "straight A" student nights back in my high school days and each turned into an adventure in themselves. We sat out beyond the outfield and found some ways to heckle the opposing outfielders. Against the Mets, their left fielder that day was George Theodore so we peppered him with Beaver Cleaver references (Beaver's real name was "Theodore" for you guys too young to know).

Against the Braves, their right fielder was Ralph "The Roadrunner" Garr so we would heckle him with "BEEP BEEP". Got my dad doing it too. Garr actually looked back to see who was doing that.

It was all harmless stuff, nothing mean.
