Bob Hulsey, that's disappointing news to me...

HoustonProFootball.com was a much better website than any other Houston Texans fan forum, simply because the people who posted there did it out of pure passion for the team.

I had actually posted there on the account name "Reggie Bush" for a couple of months prior to the 2006 NFL Draft, but I quickly stopped once the Texans drafted Mario Willians number one, and that decision turned out to be the right decision for Gary Kubiak and the Houston Texans.

I never created my RyanED account name on there though...

Sort of like ClutchFans.net. I used to post there under the account name "YaoMingFan" ever since 2002, but some time in 2004 I had gotten upset with one of the moderators on there for deleting a perfectly good post I had made comparing the Houston Rockets to the Utah Jazz, and I stopped posting ever since then and I haven't posted on ClutchFans.net for 4 years and counting.

I'm not even sure if my "YaoMingFan" account name is still alive on ClutchFans.net if I tried to access it ( I think I still remember the password ), but I could care less really. I simply like to browse ClutchFans.net from time to time now, but I certainly don't post there anymore.

There was somebody from this Astros fan forum who created my RyanED account name on ClutchFans.net a year or two ago, and I noticed them mocking me over there by acting like a complete idiot. They would make the dumbest posts and they typed like some 6-year-old kid who couldn't spell any words and I didn't appreciate the fact they did that, but what can I do?

I have a pretty good idea who it was... Shame on them for doing that though...

I still consider ClutchFans.net to be the best Houston Sports website on the Internet, but my own personal experiences on there was sort of a let down to say the least...

I usually get my posting urges for the Houston Rockets in the Yuku forums now a days, or I also have my RyanED account name actively made on the Houston Rockets board on RealGM.com, but I rarely post there ( perhaps 27 posts I have since 2005 on there ).

Anyway, I'm still saddened by this news about HPF.com, Bob Hulsey...

The Houston Texans finally produce their first non-losing season by going 8-8 in 2007 and there's reason to believe they may go 10-6 and challenge for a wild card spot for the first time ever in 2008, and I feel it's a little disappointing for the HPF.com forums to be shutting down during what I feel will be the Houston Texans' finest hour in 2008.

Has the world gone mad, Bob Hulsey?

I guess I will simply keep my posting about the Houston Texans limited to only the Yuku forums now...

I really felt like HPF.com had the potential to be a lot like Stillers.com, which I consider to be the best NFL fan-forum on the Internet, and it's a Pittsburgh-related fan forum.

Stillers.com Forums

I want to see a Houston Texans fan forum as good as that particular Steelers fan forum...

In fact, the NFL is my first passion and love out of all the professional sports. If you held a gun to my head and forced me to tell you which team I like the most out of the Astros, Rockets and Texans ( even though I usually say I love every team equally )... I'd pick the Houston Texans every time, because there's nothing more exciting to me than NFL Gameday!

There's something special to me about Gamedays on Sundays that go beyond my love of the game. When the Houston Texans win a game, I feel like it's the NBA Finals and the World Series combined, and it's just a regular-season win!

If I'm lucky enough to witness the Houston Texans playing in the Super Bowl one day, I can't even begin to describe how excited I would be. I can almost guarantee you that I would probably die the very next day from a heart attack due to all of that intense cheering I would do...
