When the Texans went 2-14 in 2005, I think they had also suffered a 3-17 record through a stretch of 20 games during the course of two combined seasons ( an extension of seasons ), but that team had little talent to speak of. No pro bowlers to say the least. Andre Johnson was obviously capable, but he did very little that season due to injury and bad play as well.

Oh wait, I take that back. Jerome Mathis was an All-Pro and pro bowler as a rookie kick returner during that horrible 2005 season. I nearly forgot about him. He's already been released by a couple of teams recently. His career, injury problems and off-the-field troubles are a sad story to be honest with you.

What makes the 2008 Astros so frustrating to watch lose is the fact that they have arguably two, three and maybe four All-Star players on their roster. This is a talented team that is simply getting beat on a consistent basis. When that happens, all of the blame goes on the manager.
