MLB.com's Jim Molony names the Astros, Yankees, Cardinals, Angels, Mets, and Pirates as teams considering Cuban defector Dayan Viciedo (assuming he becomes a free agent). We have to wait to see if he is considered a undrafted Free Agent or he will go into the Draft pool for next year. What i heard is that he was good enough to go in first round.
I'm just curious, but have the Astros ever had any luck signing any of these big-name defectors from countries like Cuba? Every time I hear the Astros being mentioned as interested, I usually associate it as nothing more than passive interest at best.

My guess: The Yankees, Mets or Angels will sign him, assuming he becomes a free agent.
