I'm not giving up on this season so don't get me wrong but our pitching is looking pretty freaking bad. I don't see a Prior in our system (young just drafted guy who can shoot through the farm in a year) so who are we going to get to solidify our rotation. What does the free agent pitching market look like this off-season? We should still have a fairly good offensive club next year and once Oswalt shuts it down for the season and fixes whatever is wrong with him he should anchor our staff again. But after him who are we gonna pick up? Who will be available and who should we spend some money to go after?

Side note I thought Richard Justice had a surprisingly good point when he commented that with the Rockets doing well and if the Texans preform well this year it should push McLane into really making a solid effort to get some big names here.

I think it's time to forget the big names. Start over from the ground up. Rebuild the farm system and hope for the best in 2 to 3 years. Face it....this year is a bust...probably next. Might as well unload and restock.
