Actually, I think Brocail has been one of the Astros more consistent BP pitchers this season. Despite a couple of recent bad outings, his numbers bear me out. He is on the downside of his career, but he knows how to pitch and he's a gamer. I'd hate to think where the Astros' BP would be if Brocail wasn't on the team.

Nevertheless, I don't disagree with Barzilla about going with the hot hand in the BP, however, neither Cooper nor his predecessor (Garner) seem to be able to figure out that concept. Frankly, I don't think there are many managers today that can or do.
