Bye-bye Brocail

I don't blame them either, but I don't think it necessarily means Brocail is gone. The article even indicates that the Astros (Wade) are still interested in bringing him back. I think it will depend on a combination of factors, including, whether Brocail wants to pitch next season (he's 41 years old), how much he wants to pitch for the Astros, and the offers he may get from other teams. If he pitches next season, I'd say the chances are slightly better than 50-50, he'll be back with the Astros. I agree with others on this board that have said that Brocail was overworked this season, and if his workload is lessened significantly, I think he'll prove to be a better BP asset.
