I agree. I don't expect Doug Brocail back in 2009.

I'm sure some team will overpay him based on his deceivingly good numbers in 2008, but let's hope that's not the Astros because they have more urgent areas they need to spend their money on this off-season. Our bullpen as it stands right now ( without Doug Brocail ) is still a damn good bullpen.

Jose Valverde in the ninth and LaTroy Hawkins in the eighth can flat out get the job done. And there's no doubt Geoff Geary when healthy can handle the seventh inning, as can Wesley Wright.

I mean really, not sure where Doug Brocail factors into the equation unless the Astros were seriously considering trading Jose Valverde this winter, or if they weren't planning on bringing LaTroy Hawkins back.
