Last night, the Angels did not use their closer in the ninth, trailing 2-1 and Shields gave up two runs to make it 4-1, deflating any hopes of a comeback. Knowing they would be off the next day, why didn't Scioscia use Rodriguez in the ninth to hold the deficit at one run? Seems like an opportunity lost.
