Yes, I realize I'm saying the Astros got a good deal even though they sent Qualls to Arizona, a player I'm identifying as perhaps equivalent value to Valverde. I'm just saying that at the value we're set to pay Valverde for 2009, a trade for increased offensive value (a very serious need) can potentially offset the loss of Valverde if a replacement of Qualls' skills (or Paulino's potential skills) is ready to go.
