Felipe Paulino probably has the best chance to become a closer, in terms of all the young guys the Astros have in their system right now. But that's assuming he's healthy again. I'm sure he'll likely be used as a reliever because you have to question if he can display the type of stamina and endurance it takes to be a starting pitcher.

A lot of times, those hard-throwing starting pitchers who suffer some injuries earlier in their career will end up being converted to a reliever.

Perhaps I'm going out on a limb, but I can envision Felipe Paulino becoming a future closer, especially if he continues to display first-rate velocity on his fastball.

I forgot what other pitches Felipe Paulino throws. Does anybody know? I must admit, I didn't get a chance to see him pitch that often because he got hurt. I remember he had a blazing fastball though.
