A Lincoln Park man was arrested for attempting to strike Los Angeles Dodgers' left fielder Manny Ramirez with a baseball during the Cubs Wednesday night playoff loss at Wrigley Field.

Paul Solans, 31, of the 2200 block of North Lincoln Avenue, was charged with reckless conduct and is scheduled to appear in misdemeanor court (Br.29) at the 2400 block of West Belmont Avenue on Oct. 23, police said.

Solans caught Dodgers home run and, instead of immediately throwing it back onto the field, attempted to throw it at Ramirez when the Dodgers returned to the field. Security guards "grabbed him" and turned him over to Chicago Police, police said.

The Cubs lost the game 7-2 and will host the Dodgers in Game 2 of the National League Division Series Thursday night at 8:37 p.m.

At 2 a.m., Solans remained in the Belmont District police lockup, but is expected to post bond soon.
