This is his last inning as a Brewer. He's due up 2nd in the 5th. Imagine he's a Yankee in 2009. Maybe Wade makes a push for him.

Well....now he's taken out....

C.C. Sabathia will not remain a Brewer...

That much is certain to me.

I'd like for the Astros to make an aggressive offer to C.C. Sabathia. but I totally agree that he's more likely to become a Yankee.

Ben Sheets has some serious injuries he's dealing with, and I can envision the Astros signing Ben Sheets to an incentive-based deal.

Roy Oswalt and Lance Berkman will talk Ben Sheets into coming to Houston.

Mitch Stetter struck out Ryan Howard.

The Brewers reliever came in and kept the game close...

Ryan Howard has struck out three times tonight.

Phillies stranded the bases loaded in the bottom of the 4th.

Phillies still lead 5-1 in the top of the 5th.

More importantly, C.C. Sabathia can rest his arm for a new team in 2009.

Brewers will be an average team next year. No Sabathia, no Sheets... Likely an 81-win team next year... .500 or so... But no more 90 wins for the Brewers anymore.

Brewers will probably be a fourth-place team next year, behind the Astros, Cubs and Cardinals.
