It's the insecurity that comes with playing for the Cubs. The Red Sox kept looking for a way to melt down until 2004 when they made a miraculous comeback. Now they have the swagger that helps them believe they are going to win. I don't think the Cubs have that. They are still looking for an excuse to curl up into a ball and the Loney slam did it for them. They came out flat yesterday and now they have to win two games on the West Coast. They're falling flat like a bad souffle because they have it in their minds that they are the Cubs and terrible things happen to them. The Astros were like that until 2004 also. They expected to lose and lose they did - until they won.
