This lineup is capable of winning 95-to-100 games if they could stay healthy and if the Astros had a good starting rotation, featuring two legitimate Aces at the top, Roy Oswalt and C.C. Sabathia for example ( or somebody like that ).

I'll even give Michael Bourn the benefit of the doubt. I think he can make the necessary improvements to his game during winter ball.

This is probably the lineup we'll see on Opening Day '09.

Michael Bourn - Center Field
Kaz Matsui - Second Base
Lance Berkman - First Base
Carlos Lee - Left Field
Ty Wigginton - Third Base
Hunter Pence - Right Field
Miguel Tejada - Shortstop
Humberto Quintero - Catcher
Roy Oswalt - Starting Pitcher

Ideally, I'd prefer to see Kaz Matsui leading off, Miguel Tejada hitting in the number two hole, and Michael Bourn bumped all the way down to eigth or ninth in the batting order.

But the lineup can look good when healthy is all I'm saying...

The defense can be good as well...

The bullpen is fine...

It's just a matter of acquiring another horse ( innings eater and workhorse ) who you can pencil in as a legitimate number two starter. Preferably another Ace would be a dream.

I mean let's face it... You guys want C.C. Sabathia don't you?

Despite his pathetic pitching performances during the last two postseasons, or even his miserable performances at the end of his Indians career, he's still a great starting pitcher who can swing a great bat for power and high batting average.

C.C. Sabathia would be better off staying in the National League.

It would be awesome if the Astros opened up their payroll to unlimited proportions and found a way to land C.C. Sabathia this winter.

I'd throw a party at my house if that happened...

Everybody here would be invited.

It would be an all-night bash!
