Just imagine if the Dodgers play the Red Sox in the 2008 World Series. It will be a media frenzy covering the inevitable storyline of Manny being Manny, but part of the storyline will be Manny Ramirez playing his former team that he left through some unfortunate circumstances. Practically the entire Boston clubhouse had lost favor with Manny Ramirez's antics, when just a year ago he was more or less a God on that team.

And then there's Jason Bay, who's an all-star caliber outfielder himself, and has arguably made the Red Sox just as good, if not better since Manny Ramirez's departure.

Only the Phillies and Rays, two good teams, stand in the way of the type of World Series the media would crave to cover. The Dodgers versus Red Sox would be a World Series dream for the majority of sports journalists in this country.

Ultimately, I think Manny Ramirez and the Dodgers will become the 2008 World Series champions. I'll also be happy for Joe Torre and Alyssa Milano, LOL.

But we shall see... I don't want to cut the Phillies, Rays or even Red Sox short.
